B2B branding, baby
I was privileged to name a third-party logistics company in St. Cloud, MN and write their website. The goal was to brand a B2B that felt established and trustworthy. I was inspired by St. Cloud’s legacy as one of the nation’s top sources of granite. There are certain criteria for a stone to be considered true granite. Who knew?!
This new business is based on a legacy of criteria for excellence. I merged granite and criteria to develop the name Granterion. It’s a nod to strength, stability and local pride. After presenting the options, executives quickly chose my concept from a short list of other ideas. Compliance loved the uniqueness of the name, and it soon passed legal vetting.
Named the company
I was not initially familiar with the 3PL industry, so I dove into research and competitive analysis. Like, a lot. I also conducted employee interviews to understand the 3PL world from the inside out. I’m an expert now!
I leaned into a voice that feels established and capable without sounding too corporate. The tone reflects the grit of the logistics world and the dependability of this partner. The website feels authentic, informs with clarity and drives new sales. It was well received by corporate with few edits. I’m most fond of the core values and staff bios.
